More on the Bugge twins!!

OKay, so Owen and Ro have created a blog on their twins (I am just AMAZED they have time to do this!!) Go Owen and Ro!! I have posted just one of the photos form their recent "2 week old family photo shoot" off of the blog. Check the blog out here or see the blog link to the right, below the slideshows. I found out names as well and all of the "stats":) Below is what they wrote:

Emery Margaret Bugge and Davis Lee Bugge were born on July 12 2010 at 7:43 AM. Emery checked in at 5lb 9oz and 18.75 inches, while Davis weighed in at 6lb 10 oz and also 18.75 inches.

We are getting close!!

It's that time of year again!!! In a few weeks, we will be tubing down the river, beers in hand and sun on our faces. Please contact Mitch if you have any questions regarding the trip. Most of you have been there before or have been camping, but if you are a newcomer or have not camped much before, here is a list of suggested items. It's a little lengthy for what we do, but it helps. We are not completely roughing it, in that we have cars and are just about a five minute drive away from help, but the nearest bathroom is a decent walk away-the campsite is pretty secluded. There is no cell service. An email with directions and a local contact number (Mitch's parents) will be going out soon.

If you have a tube, bring it!! Also, the last stop for groceries is the Food Lion in Sparta-please bring a bag of ice, as always.

There is a theme this year.....mullets!! (Or maybe it's rednecks). Don't ask, but if you are brave, get a mullet cut (shave it off afterward). Ladies, if you don't already have a tattoo, consider a henna or two-especially on the lower back. This is not to say tattoos are redneck, they are not, but think of the style........for example, consider getting one that says "I love beer", the PBR logo, the Wrangler logo, or something along those lines. Although, they may not make henna tattoos like that, lol. Wear tank tops, wife beaters and hats that read something to the effect of "It's beer thirty" or any Marlboro gear will do. Guys, wear your gold chains and sport your tricked-out goatees. 80's Hobie tanks or OP tanks would also do. Perhaps you might even fly a confederate flag or two. Cowboy hats, gold belt buckles.... you get the idea. Rednecks, but not white trash-there is a difference, even a philosophy.

My Lord, BOTH of the Francis boys will be there!!!! This year promises to be a LOAD of fun!!!

Good deal on shoes!

Okay, this most likely is not feasible for most of you, but JUST IN CASE any of you will be in the Topsail area anytime soon, stop by the IGA right off the bridge. They have excellent water shoes for only EIGHT bucks!!! They have ones that tie at the heel and slip-ons, but all are the same price and come in a variety of colors. I say this b/c I can no longer find them at the Target or Wal-Mart. And what little I have seen, are too expensive if you ask me:)

Water shoes!!

Reminder-If you have not already purchased a pair of water/river shoes, now is the TIME to buy. They will FLY off of the shelves and be hard to find by the time of our trip. Target and Wal-Mart are the cheap choices. IMO, I don't spend a lot of money on these, because they typically get pretty used!!

TJ and Amy tie the knot!!!!!!! 4-10-10

Congrats go out to another happy couple this year. TJ and Amy were married at Saint Mary's Chapel, in Raleigh, with a smashing reception at 1705 Prime. I have included a picture of the beautiful couple with all of the Shady Shack crew, outside of the reception. Best food I have eaten in probably my life!!!

Even though the wedding has passed, here is a website they created which includes the story of their proposal and members of the wedding party. It's pretty cool! http://amyandtjgetmarried.info/

Also, TJ and Amy used Nicole Faby Photography and I must say she did an excellent job!!! I have no idea if this link of their pics (on FB) will work or not: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=157388&id=54603889875&ref=mf
If not, visit Nicole's website.
